Trinamool Congress (TMC) supporters brought out a procession in Agartala in support of 8-point demand on Saturday. The rally was led by West Bengal TMC MP Santanu Sen. Some other leaders including Bengal TMC leader Kunal Ghosh and local leader Subal Bhowmik.

 

TMC leader Santanu Sen said response of people in the rally is a sign of BJP’s fall in the next assembly polls. He alleged that the TMC workers were being attacked by the BJP goons across the state.

 

Sen claimed that the foundation day of Trinamool Chatra Parishad was observed in 3328 booths of all sixty constituencies by maintaining the Covid protocols on Saturday.

 

Another TMC leader of West Bengal – Kunal Ghosh said the people of Tripura are ready to form Mamata Banerjee-led TMC government in 2023.

 

While seeking supports for TMC, Ghosh assured, “The people of Tripura will get benefits of all schemes like the people of West Bengal are receiving. Besides, the Trinamool Congress will solve the 10,323 teachers’ issue on humanitarian ground.”

 

More importantly, he said the Biplab Deb-led government was about to lose absolute majority as some of the BJP MLAs are already in touch with TMC’s top brass. He, however, did not disclose anything further on this issue.  

 

“Now, it’s a wait for a few months. Under the leadership of Mamata Banerjee, TMC will form the government with support of the people of Tripura,” he added.

 

Meanwhile, two TMC activists were injured after a group of miscreants launched an attack at the house of TMC leader Mujibor Islam Majumder at Milanchakra area of Badharghat constituency in Agartala on Saturday.

 

Mujibor Islam Majumder along with another party worker Subhankar Debnath was injured in the attack. Later, the TMC leaders visited the injured party activists. Condemning the attack, TMC leaders blamed BJP for the attack.
