Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL) is enduring its reforms towards modernization. It is taking many new initiatives on regular basis to make DISCOM more consumers centric. This time the TSECL has come out with the inauguration of the Integrated Revenue Management System for its 39 rural Electrical Sub-divisions along with the launching of Bidyut Bandhu Mobile App & TSECL Officers Mobile App and a new version of the Official website of TSECL (https://www.tsecl.in).

 

Inauguration of these modern technologies has been done by Deputy Chief Minister of Tripura Jishnu Dev Varma in presence of Kiran Gitte, IAS, Secretary (Power), Government of Tripura, Dr. M. S. Kele, Managing Director, TSECL and other dignitaries on August 23, 2021 at Bidyut Bhavan, Agartala. On this auspicious occasion  Dy. Chief Minister in his deliberation inter alia said revenue management is very important to provide quality services to the consumers. Bidyut Bandhu Mobile App and TSECL Officers Mobile App along with the new version of the Official website of TSECL are the added quills to the initiative of TSECL at Your Door Step.

 

TSECL’s Revenue Management System Studio is a control and command center for the Corporation which will be used for monitoring and analysis purposes to deliver better services to its consumers. It is a cloud-based Utility Operations and Revenue Management System. The robust platform leverages the mobility and cloud to give all the stakeholders of the utility a complete solution comprising of Operations, Automated Spot Billing, Payment Collection Systems, Revenue Management, Consumer engagement, Smart Metering needs, Command Control Center and Mobile based Monitoring and Analytics as a unified system giving an edge to reduce the losses and improve consumer satisfaction. This new technology will replace the existing Energy Billing System (EBS) that was doing in collaboration with National Informatics Center (NIC) and in the future, it will also replace the SAP billing system to bring the entire billing system of TSECL under the same canopy.

 

Bidyut Bandhu Mobile App and TSECL Officers Mobile App along with the new version of the Official website of TSECL will literally bring the Electricity Office to the Hands and House of the Consumers’. Now the consumer can view his Electricity Connection details like Load, Deposit, Tariff, etc. besides view and download his Electricity Bills, Make Payment of the Electricity Bill online through various modes, Lodge Complaint, Get Power Supply Alerts, Register for New Connection, View and Track the application status, Apply for Load Change, Name Change, Tariff Change, Disconnection, Reconnection, etc. and Group consumer’s accounts if the consumer has more than one connection.

 

This system will also help the consumers to make Payments at their doorstep to the TSECL personnel (Spot Collection). Transparent and automated billing will eradicate the consumers’ grievances. This system will also be beneficial to DISCOM being a Proven and Reliable Solution. The new version of the Official website of TSECL is a more consumer-friendly interface with a responsive design having up-to-date data. It is more secure, faster and easy to navigate consisting of modern technology.
