He described the meeting as an opportunity to receive the senior organisational leaderโs affection and blessings for himself and his family.
The interaction came shortly after Debโs marriage to Kannada actress and film artist Triveni Rao.
Deb remains active in BJP affairs
Deb continues to remain involved in the BJPโs political and organisational activities.
His meeting with Santhosh also assumes significance as the BJP works to strengthen its organisational machinery in Tripura ahead of local-level elections.
Santhosh is among the BJPโs key organisational leaders. He has played an important role in the partyโs organisational strategy across several states.
His recent political responsibilities have included the BJPโs campaign and organisational preparations in West Bengal. The party secured a historic victory in the state, ending the Trinamool Congressโs 15-year tenure in power.
Deb begins new chapter after marriage
Deb, 55, married Triveni Rao on June 19, 2026. The wedding took place in New Delhi in a private ceremony.
It marked the former Chief Ministerโs second marriage. He had divorced his first wife, Niti Deb, in 2025.
The coupleโs meeting with Santhosh in Delhi followed the marriage and brought together Debโs personal and political spheres.
From Tripura CM to Lok Sabha MP
Deb has had a significant political career in Tripura.
He became the stateโs 10th Chief Minister on March 9, 2018. He remained in office until May 14, 2022.
Under his leadership, the BJP secured a historic electoral victory in Tripura in 2018. The result ended the CPI-Mโs 25-year uninterrupted rule in the state.

Deb stepped down as Chief Minister in May 2022. Manik Saha subsequently took over as Tripura Chief Minister.
After leaving the Chief Ministerโs post, Deb entered Parliament as a Rajya Sabha member from Tripura. He served in the Upper House from September 2022 until June 2024.
He resigned from the Rajya Sabha after winning the 2024 Lok Sabha election from the West Tripura constituency.
Deb currently represents Tripura West in the Lok Sabha and remains active in BJP affairs at both the state and national levels.
