Agartala August 08: Jampuijala Play Centre continued their strong start to the Baikuntha Nath Memorial Women’s Football League with a comfortable 3-0 victory over newcomers Ramakrishna Sevashram Sangha on Saturday.
The win came in Jampuijala’s second match of the competition at Umakanta Mini Stadium. It also strengthened their position as one of the teams in contention for the league title.
Sima Debbarma, Neke and Sapaoli Rian scored for Jampuijala Play Centre.
Jampuijala Play Centre Make Fast Start
Jampuijala Play Centre began the match on the front foot. The players pressed high from the opening whistle and looked to control possession in the attacking half.
Their early pressure created problems for the Ramakrishna Sevashram defence. The newcomers struggled to deal with Jampuijala’s movement and attacking pace.
Sima Debbarma broke the deadlock in the eighth minute. Her early strike gave Jampuijala the advantage they wanted.
The goal also changed the flow of the match. Jampuijala grew in confidence and continued to push forward.
Neke Doubles Lead
Jampuijala Play Centre did not allow their opponents much time to settle.
Neke scored the second goal in the 17th minute. The player has joined the Jampuijala side from Nagaland for the competition.
Her goal put Jampuijala 2-0 ahead before the match had reached the 20-minute mark.
The two-goal cushion gave the team greater control. They continued to look for openings while keeping their defensive shape.
Ramakrishna Sevashram Sangha then tried to change the pattern of the game. The newcomers launched several counter-attacks in an attempt to get back into the contest.
However, Jampuijala’s defence stood firm. The backline dealt with the attacking threats and kept Ramakrishna Sevashram away from the scoring areas.
Ramakrishna Sevashram Fail to Find a Way Back
Ramakrishna Sevashram Sangha showed greater intent after the break. They attempted to move the ball forward and create chances.
Yet, Jampuijala Play Centre remained in control for long periods.
The Jampuijala players continued to defend with discipline. They also remained dangerous whenever they moved forward.
Their efforts eventually produced a third goal.
Sapaoli Seals Jampuijala Victory
Sapaoli Rian put the result beyond doubt in the 65th minute.
The third goal effectively ended Ramakrishna Sevashram Sangha’s hopes of mounting a comeback.
Jampuijala then managed the remainder of the match without allowing their opponents to reduce the deficit.
The final whistle confirmed a 3-0 victory for Jampuijala Play Centre.

The result gives Jampuijala Play Centre further momentum in the Baikuntha Nath Memorial Women’s Football League.
