Addressing an election rally CPM Politburo member Brinda Karat said this and appealed people to remain alert against any attempt to oust Leftists in ensuing Polls.
Brinda Karat today addressed rallies at Mandwi in West District and later in evening she travelled to Kamalasagar area to campaign for CPIM candidate.
The meeting in Kamalasagar was delayed but participants patiently waited for Karat to reach the venue. “I am sorry that I arrived in the meeting much later than scheduled time”, she said and seek an apology. Karat also hailed participants for waiting so long.
In her speech, Karat blamed BJP-RSS for adopting ‘divisive’ policies in the State by forging an alliance with IPFT which adamantly demanded separate State for tribal people.
She said, Manik Sarkar led Government has worked hard for attaining development and ensuring peace and harmony among the different communities and religions. She urged people to defeat BJP-RSS plan and ensure victory for Leftists.
“All sorts of development works have been carried out under the leadership of Manik Sarkar. We won’t say that we have done every thing but we are in a process and continuously making progress”, she asserted.
