Tripura: Samir Barman withdraws nomination

February 03, 2018: Veteran politician cum former Congress Chief Minister Samir Ranjan Barman has withdrawn his nomination papers today. Speculation was running high since last evening that Samir Ranjan Debbarman would withdrew his candidature from BishalGarh Assembly Constituency and accordingly, on the last day of nomination withdrawal, veteran leader, has proved speculations true.

“Samir Barman tasted defeat in last Assembly Polls on Congress ticket. This time he submitted his nomination papers as an Independent candidate. Though another defeat for him was almost certain, he would surely spoil prospect of BJP candidate in a significant manner”, said an Agartala based Political Analyst.
