January 30, 2018: Tripura has achieved laudable success in literacy, women empowerment and over all rural development during Left rule, asserted CPIM Politburo leaders today while addressing poll rallies in different parts of the State. Focusing in details about Tripura LF Government’s pro-people policies, CPIM leaders mentioned about “People first” model of Tripura which lays stress on improving human resources and unity among different ethnic communities.
CPIM general secretary Sitaram Yechury today hailed ‘alternative’ policies of the LF government in Tripura and urged people to vote for LF candidates for maintaining peace and carrying forward developmental works. He campaigned for CPIM candidate Jashbir Tripura who is contesting from Jolaibari Assembly constituency under South Tripura District.
CPIM Politburo member and West Bengal leader Surya Kanta Mishra also praised the LF government’s initiatives for uplifting socio-economic factors in Tripura. Addressing two rallies in Agartala, Mishra castigated Modi-led Government for adopting ‘anti-people’ policies. He said spiralling prices of essentials including petro product have become major concern for common people.
In another mass rally, Politburo member and West Bengal leader Biman Bose came down heavily on ‘communal’ and ‘anti-people’ economic policies of Modi led Government. He also mentioned about Modi’s failure to fulfil pre-poll promises.
