Rajya Sabha saw a number of adjournments today on Rohith Vemula case. As soon as the upper house met for the day, BSP leaders started creating an uproar over the Rohith Vemula case. Following which the house was adjourned first for ten minutes and then later till 12 noon. Rajya Sabha now stands adjourned till 2 pm after uproar over Rohith Vemula issue.
Meanwhile, JNU anti-national issue will come up for discussion today in Rajya Sabha where Bhupendra Yadav will initiate the discussion from BJP while Home Minister Rajnath Singh and HRD Minister Smriti Irani will intervene. Apart from Bhupendra Yadav, Anil Dave and Tarun Vijay will also take part in the discussion in the upper house. Congress Leader Mallikarjun Kharge has given adjournment motion notice in Lok Sabha on JNU row and Rohith Vemula issue. INLD has also given adjournment motion notice on Jat Reservation issue. Lok Sabha will debate JNU controversy at round 3 PM. Lok Sabha has also been adjourned till 2:15 pm.
