ProMASS News Bureau: Sep 28, 2016: After India decided not to take part in the Summit, four out of eight SAARC countries have pulled out of 19th SAARC Summit to be held in Islamabad in November. Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Bhutan have also decided to boycot the Summit. Notably, In view of the continuous cross border terrorism by Pakistan, India decided on Sep 27 to pull out of the summit. The External Affairs Ministry said in a statement that India remains steadfast in commitment to regional cooperation, connectivity and contacts but believes that these can only go forward in an atmosphere free of terror.
