ProMASS, Oct 13, 2016: Haryana Govt has decided to enhance public transport system aiming to provide convenient and easy mode of transport as well as to control air pollution. AIR News reported, Harayan Govt has sanctioned purchasing a fleet of 500 buses comprising both AC and Non-AC buses, for the city to ensure better transport facility.
It is reported that a new body, namely Greater Gurugram Urban Tranport Service Ltd (GGUTSL) has been formed for this purpose. Speaking about role of GGUTSL, Umesh Agarwal, Gurugram MLA informed, GGUTSL will be given the responsibility to operate these buses aiming to provide effective mode of public transport facility to city residents
and commuters. Municipal Corporation of Gurgaon (MCG) with 51 per cent share will provide financial and investment support while Haryana Govt will shoulder the rest of the cost, he added.
