ProMASS, Nov 21, 2016: Demonetization issue continues to disrupt proceedings of the both houses of Parliament. Unrelenting Protests by the Opposition Parties over the demonetization issue forced adjournment of Lok Sabha for the day. News agencies reported, Speaker Sumitra Mahajan refused to entertain the adjournment motion moved by the opposition.
Similar situation was observed in Rajya Sabha and Rajya Sabha was adjourned repeatedly with opposition continuing the uproar over the demonitisation issue. News agencies informed, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the Opposition is not ready for debate and is trying new tactics everyday to disrupt the proceedings. Both the houses have been adjourned till 2 PM.
Earlier both Houses of Parliament observed a minute’s silence to condole the deaths in the tragic rail accident. Meanwhile, Rail Minister Suresh Prabhu made a statement in Lok Sabha on the tragic accident. He said immediate assistance for relief and rescue has been provided to passengers.
