June 30, 2017: Tripura Welfare Research Society (TWR) and BSF 14th Battalion jointly organized a health camp on June 28 at Maldakumar Para – situated at remote area of Dhalai district nearby Indo Bangla Border area. Altogether 200 people of hilly area were treated for several ailments and medicines were provided free of cost.
They distributed cloths and education materials among the needy people of hilly areas. Second in –Command of BSF 14th Battalion N. K. Sharma was attended the programme as Chief Guest. Besides, company Commander of BSF 14th Battalion M.S Rathor and Jecob Koshy were present in the programme as special guest Project Coordinator M. Nag delivered the welcome address.
During speech 2nd in Command N. K. Sharma said BSF always works with responsibility to provide assistance for needy people in the society along with ensuring safety and security of people. He said, the people of hilly area have been benefited by join civic action programme of Tripura Welfare Research Society and BSF 14th Battalion. He appealed all to participate in similar programme in future. Assistant Commandant of BSF 14th Battalion Manish Kumar anchored the programme. The programme got huge response at Border area. This is the third civic action programme by TWRS in collaboration with BSF, said president of TWRS Prasanta Choudhury.
