He is – a stout 97-year old – old Yogi-acharya Dr Arbinda Majumder. “One may stay healthy using natural herbal medicine, Yoga practice and changing lifestyle, commented Dr Majumder. He stays in Odissa where he has set up naturopathy hospital in most parts of Odissa. He arrived in Agartala on June 29 and will stay till July 3. During this period, he will make a quick survey on available plants in the State with medicinal values.
Speaking to media today, he said, natural ambiance in the State is comparatively less polluted and there are many high potential medicinal plants in the State. “These medicinal plants are invaluable and highly powerful in curing diseases”, Dr Majumder said.
Praising efforts of the State Government in maintaining and nurturing medicinal plants as well as emphasis on Ayush, he claimed, naturopathy can cure almost all the diseases. Of course, regular yoga practice and at least, slight change in life style is essential to lead a healthy life, he added.
After attending a programme today at Khowai organized by PIB, Agartala, he claimed diseases like diabetics, High blood pressure and even deadly cancer can be cured though naturopathy. He also expressed his willingness to setup hospitals in every districts of Tripura of the benefit of people where a large number of people are reportedly suffering from intestine related problems, diabetics and cancer.
Dr Majumder will attend a programme organized by PIB, Agartala on July 4 in Udaipur where he will focus upon importance of Yoga, naturopathy and maintaining a balanced life style for healthy life.
“His style of detecting disease is very traditional and as per long lost Indian tradition – he checks pulses, nails and palms to identify diseases. What doctors find after a lot of diagnostic procedures, he accurately tells the same checking pulses”, said a patient after consulting Dr Majumder.
