Three Youths Were Collecting Soil for Construction Work

According to administrative sources, three residents of Kunjamura had gone to Chakmaghat Muslim Basti to collect soil for house construction purposes.

People shifted him to Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.

Later, doctors referred him to Govind Ballabh Pant Hospital in Agartala after his health condition worsened.

Meanwhile, rescue teams recovered James Jamatia and Asha Hari Jamatia from under the debris. Both had already died.

Minister Bikash Debbarma Meets Victim Families

After receiving information about the tragedy, Bikash Debbarma visited Teliamura Sub-Divisional Hospital along with Teliamura SDM Apurba Krishna Chakraborty and other officials.

They met the family members of the deceased youths and expressed condolences.

Later, the administration handed over financial assistance cheques of Rs 4 lakh each to the families of James Jamatia and Asha Hari Jamatia.

Minister Bikash Debbarma described the incident as deeply painful. He said the government stands with the affected families during this difficult period. He also assured further support if required.
