The Ultimate Music Talent Hunt, powered by Toyota and managed by Unitex Inc., organised its live audition in Agartala, bringing together promising singers and musicians from across Tripura.
The audition was held at the Muktadhara Auditorium on September 8. The talent hunt is affiliated with the Indian Performing Right Society (IPRS) and aims to identify leading musical performers from participating states.
Welcome and Guest Session
The programme opened with a welcome address by host Debajit. He then introduced the invited guests and formally felicitated them during the opening segment.
G S Madhusudana, Regional Manager of Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM), addressed the gathering with a brief speech. Rittik Raj, Field Salesman at Toyota Kirloskar Motors, and Pranay Acharjee, Sales Head of Podder Toyota, also attended the programme as guests.
Special Musical Performance
The event also featured a special performance by Bhairabi Reincarnation. The musical presentation lasted around 20 minutes and added a performance segment to the audition programme.
The organisers later introduced the judging panel for the competition. The judges included eminent singer Purni Basu and rapper, songwriter and musician Borkung Hrangkhawl.
Three-Hour Audition Showcases Tripura Talent
The main audition continued for around three hours and featured selected musical talents from Tripura.
Participants competed for a place among the states top performers. Two contestants from Tripura will eventually be shortlisted to represent the state in the next stage of the competition.
The same selection format will be followed in the other seven participating states. The process is aimed at identifying state-level winners who will advance to the final round.
Shortlist Results on Sep 16
The names of the shortlisted participants are scheduled to be announced on September 16, 2026.
According to the organisers, the results will be published through the official NeStar Instagram page. The announcement will determine which two Tripura contestants move forward in the competition.
Grand Finale in Guwahati
The winners representing the participating states will compete in the grand finale scheduled for September 27, 2026, in Guwahati.
The finale will bring together the selected state-level performers and provide them with an opportunity to compete on a larger platform.
The Agartala programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks delivered by Walo Kronu, Regional Coordinator of Unitex Inc. The closing segment lasted around five minutes.
