Veteran CPI leader A B Bardhan, who was undergoing treatment at G.B.Pant Hospital in Delhi following paralytic stroke last month passed away on Saturday. He was 91 year old. He played a key role in keeping Communist ideology relevant in national politics.
President Pranab Mukherjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi condoled on his demise. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal including various other party leaders expressed grief on his death.
Prime Minister Modi has condoled the death of CPI leader A B Bardhan. He said A B Bardhan will always be remembered as a passionate Communist, fully committed to his ideology & principles. Several other top political leaders cutting across party lines have condoled the death of the veteran CPI leader terming his demise as a huge loss to the nation.
