August 17, 2018: The Chief Minister of Tripura Biplab Deb who arrived in Delhi on August 16 and paid homage to the departed former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee today accompanied the funeral procession from the Party Headquarters to Smriti Sthal where the last rites of the Late former Prime Minister were performed.
The Chief Minister deeply mourned passing away of the former Prime Minister and said that the Nation has lost one of its greatest leaders and statesman who was responsible for putting the Nation on a permanent track of inclusive development. The Chief Minister lauded the principles of good governance laid down by the former Prime Minister and his landmark achievement in successful management of coalition politics rather than confrontationist approach. Biplab Deb said that this was an irreparable loss for the Nation and expressed his heartfelt condolence to the family of the Late former Prime Minister in the hour of grief.
