Assam Assembly session begins on a stormy note in Guwahati

Assam Assembly session has begun on a stormy note at Dispur in Guwahati today. During Governor P B Acharya’s address, opposition parties shouted slogan alleging state government’s failure in all fronts. As soon as the Governor started his speech, AIUDF members said that government has failed in all fronts. BJP and Asom Gana Parishad legislators also joined in the protest. Amidst noisy scene, Governor hastily completed his speech. The Governor in his speech said that step has been taken to operationalize seven new districts. Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi will table vote on account budget for the next financial year.
