In Arunachal Pradesh, a Joint delegation of 32 Members of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, led by Dissident Congress MLA Kalikho Pul and Leader of Opposition Tamiyo Taga, called on Governor JP Rajkhowa at Raj Bhavan in Itanagar today, regarding formation of a new government in the state. Kalikho Pul, along with 18 other Congress MLAs, submitted a Memorandum to the Governor staking claim to form the Government in the State as soon as the Proclamation under Article 356 is revoked or whenever it ceases.
11 BJP and 2 independent MLAs have also submitted Memorandums separately stating unconditional support to Pul as the leader of the house and the next Chief Minister of the State. Interacting with the MLAs, the Governor assured to put forward their claims to the President of India for information and directions, if any, after duly examining and consulting legal experts.
