For the first time in the history of Tripura, twins secured places in provisional merit list in Madhyamik Exams. As the TBSE announced the results and released merit list, joy in Sharma family went beyond all bounds as twin daughters of the family – Megha Sharma and Medha Sharma – secured 2nd and 3rd positions respectively in the TBSE conducted Madhyamik exams this year.
Both the sisters brought much cherished cheers for their school, Shankaracharya Vidyaniketan of Agartala, before them, no student could secure position in the merit list.
Father of the duo, Bijay Lal Sharma a graduate teacher now posted at Kabirajtilla HS School said “It is indeed a proud movement for us. As a father, words are less to describe the feeling. I hope both of them will continue their hard work to achieve success in future”.
Bijay Lal shifted to Agartala in early 2000 from his village-Kanchanmala to ensure better future of his daughters.
“I have shifted here in Agartala for better future of my children. After getting a job, I chose to shift Agartala so that my children can get better opportunities”, Bijay said.
Both Medha and Megha said in chorus that they would not change their schools and would continue their studies in their present school for further studies.
“The teachers of our school groomed and supported us in every way. They believed in us and always inspired us for good results. We would continue our studies there and try to shine the name of our school once again in the coming exams”, the duo said.
Animesh Sir of IINS – teacher of Medha and Megha – also cheered the duo on their successes and said that their hard work had made them able to fetch success and he felt that they would surely continue their good show in the ensuing exams also.
