Administration of West Tripura district announced ward no 5 of Ranigaon Panchayatunder Jirania Block as ‘Containment Zone’. In an attempt to stop transmission of Covid19, DM of West Tripura served a notice on Friday declaring the area as Containment Zone and one km area in the periphery of the Containment zone was announced as ‘Buffer Zone’. The DM also ordered to ‘seal’ the Containment zone.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb in a Tweet said, more 53 persons recovered from Covid19 pushing the total number of recovery to 1199 persons. Later, in another tweet, Deb wrote, fresh 93 Covid positive cases were detected on Friday after testing 1325 samples.
Among these fresh 93 persons, 24 are from Dhalai District, 17 are from West district, 15 persons are from Gomati District, 13 cases are from North district, 11 cases are from Sepahijala district, nine are from Khowai and two each from Unakoti and South Tripura districts.
