Birth Anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was observed across the State through different programmes. The main programme was held at Rabindra Satabarshiki Bhavan in Agartala. Information and Cultural Affairs department held the program. Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb attended the programme and paid homage to Dr S P Mukherjee on his 120th Birth Anniversary. Speacial secretary of ICA Abhishek Chandra, TIDC chairman Tinku Roy, Chairman of Tea Development Corporation Santosh Saha and other dignitaries were present in the programme.
Speaking on the occasion, Deb explained the significance of observance of the Day. He said, Dr SP Mukherjee resigned from the Union Cabinet upholding ‘EkPradhan, Ek Nishan, Ek Sambidhan” principle.
The Birth Anniversary of Dr SP Mukherjee was celebrated in different parts of the State. In all the district and sub-divisional towns as well as in rural areas the anniversary was observed and BJP leaders and local people paid tributes to the founder of the Jana Sangh.
A blood donation camp was held at Bishalgarh HS (+2) School commemorating 120th Birth Anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee today. BJP State president Manik Saha and MP Pratima Bhoumik along with other leaders attended the programme and paid homage to Dr SP Mukherjee – the founder of Jana Sangh. Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the blood camp. In her speech, Pratima Bhoumik highlighted several aspects of Dr SP Mukherjee’s life and vision.
BJP OBC Morcha of 44 Raima Valley observed the birth anniversaty of Dr SP Mukherjee by planting saplings. Local leaders attended the programme.
Birth anniversary of Dr Shyama Prasad Mukherjee was observed at Santirbazar in South Tripura District today. A programme was organized by OBC Morcha of BJP in which BJP leaders paid floral tributes to Dr S P Mukherjee.
Speaking on the occasion, BJP’s South District general secretary Shyamlal Debnath focused on life and vision of Dr S P Mukherjee. Earlier, Information and Cultural Affairs Department along with Santirbazar Municipality Council held a programme to observe birth Anniversary of Dr S P Mukherjee. In all booths under Santirbazar Assembly Constituency, programmes were held in this connection.
