10 more Police personnel test Covid19 positive

More Police personnel of Bishramganj PS under Sepahijala district in Tripura were found Covid19 positive. Swab samples of 15 Police personnel were collected, out of which 10 tested to be positive.

Among the Covid19 positive cases, two are female constables and eight are male constables. Besides, one owner of a nearby saloon also tested positive.

All the eight male constables have been quarantined in Jolaibari COVID19 centre while two female constables have put into quarantine in Agartala COVID19 centre. The infected Salon owner has been sent to quarantine at COVID19 centre of Charilam constituency’s Lalsinghmura PHC.

There were total 45 policemen posted in the PS. Swab samples of remaining personnel have been collected for testing.

Recently, Coronavirus crept into Bishramganj and Melaghar Police stations under same district affecting couple of Policemen. However, Bisramganj PS appears to be the worst affected among the two Police stations.

Meanwhile, total 2463 samples were tested today and 26 persons were tested covid19 positive. Out of this, 12 persons are from West district and five are from Sepahijala district. From Khowai district, three persons have been found Covid positive. Two each from Gomati and South districts have been tested corona positive while one person each from Dhalai and North Tripura districts has been found covid positive. However, 54 patients were discharged from Covid Care centers.
