In quest of improving treatment of Covid19 patient, Tripura Government has decided to introduce Plasma Therapy within couple of Days. Moreover, joint teams comprising 10 young IAS officers and 10 doctors will be formed. The teams would take care of ten specific issues in coordination between administration and healthcare system. Besides, Rapid Antigen Test facility will be available in 17 private healthcare institutions.
The important decisions have been taken after Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb’s meeting with representatives of private healthcare institutions and health officials on Monday, an official release said.
According to the release issued from Chief Minister’s Office, Rapid Antigen Test facility would be introduced in 17 private hospitals and nursing homes of the city.
Any person may avail the facility at Rs. 750. If report comes negative, the next step would be taken in consultation with Chief Medical Officer’s office.
The 17 private healthcare institutions include- ILS hospital, Lifeline Nursing Home and Research Centre, Devlok Hospital, Asha Child Care Nursing Home and Research Centre, Care and Cure Polyclinic and Nursing Home, Agartala Hospital and Research Centre, Sarkar Clinic and Nursing Home, Tripura Medical College, Bhowmik Polyclinic and Nursing Home, Disha Nursing Home, Sanjabani Nursing Home, Tropical Orthopedics and Related Research Centre, Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, St. Joseph Hospital, Nightingle Nursing Home, Teresa Health Centre and Artho Care and related Centre.
The release also said if the private-run hospital want to provide treatment to the COVID19 patients, the administration would give permission. Meanwhile, ILS hospital has already been given permission for Covid treatment in 47 beds while Ambassa would soon get a Covid Hospital.
Meanwhile, the state government has taken an important decision to form joint teams consisting of 10 young IAS officers and 10 Doctors. The decisions have been taken after Chief Minister’s meeting with representatives of private healthcare institutions and health officials, to strengthen the fight against COVID19, an official release said.
The high officials of Health department were also present in the meeting where the Chief Minister had reviewed the services of private healthcare institutions in the fight against COVID19.
He also stressed on the importance on providing treatment to the patients from South Tripura, Gomati and Sepahijala district at Hapania Covid Care Centre. If necessary, the Chief Minister suggested for increasing the number of beds having Oxygen facility at Hapania Covid to 100 from existing strength of 50. He also emphasized on increasing number of beds for COVID19 patients at private-run ILS hospital.
The Chief Minister said the COVID19 patients or others, who are in home isolation, may contact Emergency Support System- 112 to get service in case of any emergency.
Chairperson of Rogy Kalyan Samity and MP Pratima Bhowmik, MLA Dr. Dilip Das, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar, Addl. Chief Secretary S.K. Rakesh, Health director Dr. Subhasis Debbarma, director of Family Welfare and preventive medicine department- Dr. Radha Debbarma and other officials were present in the meeting.
