As per the cabinet decision of Government of Tripura on September 15 last, a total of 30,000 new pensions will be granted to the eligible applicants in the State under all the 33 pension schemes under National Social Assistance Program (NSAP) and State Social Pension Scheme. Accordingly, the Director of the Social Welfare & Social Education department issued a memorundum on Tuesday detailing about eligibility and other such issues. The memorundum also mentioned that different awareness camps in all of the eight districts will be organized so that beneficiaries can avail the advantage of the social pension schemes. Such awareness camps will be held from October 1, 2020.
