Congress will wrest power in Tripura in 2023, people are frustrated with ruling BJP-IPFT and disgruntled with CPIM. Tripura Pradesh Congress president Pijush Kanti Biswas said this after holding an organizational meeting at Dharmanagar in North Tripura on Friday.
Biswas said, newly appointed Tripura in-charge of Congress Nagra chalked out a detailed road map to revamp the organization. “Nagra set a time frame of 45 days within which organization up to block level will have to be rejuvenated. Garnering support and earning the faith of common people are two important tasks that all of us need to accomplish”, Biswas told media person at Dharmanagar.
Spitting fire at Central Government, Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Country is going through a critical phase. All the Policy-steps of the Modi Government flopped. Bringing back black money from foreign banks remained unfulfilled. In the name of GST, the country is being looted and the Prime Minister is working as a friend of industrialists”.
Turning his focus to the State Government, Biswas said, “Situation in the State is worse as the BJP has proved its inefficacy in every sector. Promises made in Vision document remain elusive. There is a food crisis, failure in delivering healthcare delivery – a total failure”.
Earlier, Pijush Kanti visited Kailashahar and held a meeting with local leaders in presence of District congress president Md Badrujjaman and other leaders. Birajit Sinha could not attend the meeting as he was out of the town. In the meeting, Youth Congress and NSUI leaders were also present.
Speaking to media, Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “A historic rally will be held in Kailashahar on October 20 demanding wi9thdrawal of Agriculture bills”. He also said that Congress is reviving in the State as people are peeved with BJP and CPM. Md Badrujjaman said, “More than 5000 Congress supporters will attend the October 20 rally and raise slogans against the Modi-led Government”.
