The BJP-IPFT government has given employment to 96, 385 persons including 23,001 jobs in various categories so far.

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb claimed this at a party programme in the city on Saturday.

He said apart from generating employment to 96, 385 persons including entrepreneurship development, the BJP-IPFT government also took several development projects to ensure holistic growth.

“The figure of government jobs included 767 jobs in the die-in-harness category, 4587 jobs through outsourcing and 2849 contractual,” Deb claimed in the programme adding that employment was generated to a good number of entrepreneurs with subsidized loans.

While sharing the data, the Chief Minister poked at the then Left Front government and said that people were not actually familiar with the concept of entrepreneurship development in the left regime. During that period, the people were only used to attend party rallies and meetings, Deb added.

Speaking on the other major initiatives taken by his government Deb said, “the BJP-IPFT government has introduced MSP for paddy in the state for the benefit of farmers. As of now, total 48,716 MT paddy has been purchased directly from 27,735 farmers across the state. As a result, an amount of around Rs. 90 crore directly reached the state’s farmers.”

He was speaking at the programme organized by Pradesh BJP to felicitate newly-appointed state observer Vinod Sonkar. The Chief Minister while welcoming Vinod Sonkar in Tripura confidently said his appointment as state in-charge would definitely boost the party organization.

“The people of Tripura have realized the true meaning of government after the formation of BJP-IPFT government in the state. Earlier, the party used to control the government. But, the total situation has now changed,” Deb told the gathering.
