After a series of mega loan-melas in Agartala and other parts of the State, Tripura Gramin Bank organized a voluntary blood donation camp at the Bank head office on Sunday on the occasion of the bank’s the 45th founding day.

Deputy Chief Minister of the State Jishnu Dev Varma inaugurated the blood donation camp in presence of PK Mahapatra, Deputy General Manager of NABARD. Bank Chairman Mahendra Mohan Goswami, General Manager Moni Prasad Hajra and other officers and staff.

The Deputy Chief Minister in his speech highly praised Tripura Gramin Bank for its role in the development of the State. He said whenever the State government had asked for anything assistance from the bank for development of the State, the bank immediately granted it. The role of this bank in the agricultural development of the state is undeniable. Tripura Gramin Bank provided Kisan credit cards almost five times more this year.

The Chairman of the Bank thanked everyone including media for co-operation. Bank sources said, a total of 43 people donated blood in the camp today.
