Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination has brought some major changes in the process of conducting the joint entrance examinations, joint director of the TBJEE Dhirendra Debbarma told the press.
According to Debbarma, this is the first time when, exams for all the papers will be conducted in one day instead of the existing system.
“The Tripura Joint Entrance Examination will be conducted in a single day from the academic session 2021-2022, instead of the existing two-day system. In the new system, the first shift will consist of Physics and Chemistry question papers, and subsequent two shifts will consist of Biology and Mathematics question papers. The syllabus for each subject will be divided into 10 Modules (Unit). Question paper for each subject will be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.
There will be 30 (thirty) compulsory questions for each subject. Each question will carry 4 (four) marks. Total marks will be 120 (30×4) for each subject”, Debbarma said.
Apart from that, negative marking has been also introduced in order to prevent students from opting unfair means of answering the asked questions.
“One mark deduction may be introduced for each wrong answer. The percentile score of the students shall be introduced during the publication of the result, besides ranking”, he said.
