The decision of start college admission came up at a time when disappointment among a section of students especially among HS +2 unsuccessful candidates is palpable. After road blockades by the disappointed students on successive days, the State Government directed the Tripura Board of Secondary Education (TBSE) to review the results just a couple of days ago.
Speaking about reviewing the results, State Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said that review process would take at seven days to be completed. In such a case, several students may find it difficult to complete the application process for admission within August 16 next as set by the Higher Education department as the last date of submitting application through online.
Moreover, Ratan Lal Nath pointed out if any student is unhappy with his performance as announced on the basis of expert committee recommended evaluation process, they may appear in examinations which are likely to be held by the end of August or early September.
In this case also, it remains unknown as to what will happen to the student who would opt for sitting in exams.
Meanwhile, despite Minister’s assurance of a review of results, the demand to promote all the students is very much pronounced. In fact, on Saturday, a group of students blocked Amarpur-Twidu road, once again, demanding promotion for all.
