As part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, National Legal Service Aid Authority will hold All-India programmes on the Legal Awareness drive from October 2 to November 14 next. Along with this, countrywide Legal Aid Week will be observed from November 8 to November 14 next.
The objective of the Legal Awareness campaign is to assist the weaker section of society and to settle the legal issues.
In Tripura, the programme will start with a Prabhat Pheri on Saturday (October 2). Later, a Safai Abhiyan will be conducted in all the Courts across the State. Besides, other programmes will also be organized to mark the beginning of the 45-day long campaign. Deputy Secretary of the Tripura State Legal Services Authority Hena Begum said in Agartala on Friday.
She also said, the 45-day long Legal Awareness campaign to celebrate the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav marking the 75th year of Independence will be observed in the State through several programmes. Apart from Gandhi Jayanti on October 2, special programmes will be held on Mental Health Day on October 10, International Girl Child Day on October 11, Legal Services Day on November 9 next etc.
Curtains will be drawn formally on the 45-day long Awareness campaign drive through special programmes at the State, District and sub-divisional levels.
