The destination is attained by those who have a Jaan in their dreams, nothing happens with wings only, confidence makes flying possible – Ashtami Sutradhar is a real example of these lines, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb on Saturday after meeting the visually challenged blood donor, Sutradhar, in Agartala at a blood donation camp.

 

Vivekananda Vichar Manch organized the blood donation camp at Gurkhabasti today.

 

Visually-challenged-Blood-donor-TripuraHailing her attitude and determination, Deb said, even as she is Divyangan (endowed with special benefits), she donated blood voluntarily today for the sixth time.

 

Ashtami Sutradhar is a Group D staff of Anandanagar PHC. She lost her eyesight due to anemic disease in her early age. Later, she came to know that her eye sight could be saved if she could receive treatment on time.

 

“She pledged to donate blood and save as many lives as possible. Ashtami Sutradhar has set up an inspirational and unique instance. She is an inspiration and we have a lot to learn from her”, Deb said and assured her that he would inform Prime Minister Narendra Modi about her determination to donate blood and save lives.

 

Besides, Deb hailed the role of PM care fund to improve the condition of the state health care sector. He said, “The GB hospital is conducting critical surgeries in recent time.

 

Similarly, Atal Bihari Vajpayee Regional Cancer Hospital is also conducting such complex surgeries. In this context, he pointed out that ICA minister Sushanta Chowdhury’s mother underwent surgery at the Cancer hospital as well.

 

Biplab Deb appealed people to maintain faith and nurture positive thinking about state health services.
