Tripura eve excels in Muaythai World Championship
Narma Debbarma of Tripura won a Bronze medal in Muaythai World Championship in the Junior 16-17 years females division.
The championship was held at Bangkok Thailand. International Federation of Muaythai Associations (IFMA) organized the Muaythai World Championship which was held from December 5 to 11 last, said general secretary of All Tripura Amateur Muaythai Associations Rajib Debbarma said on Monday.
The members of ATAMA congratulated Narma Debbarma for winning the medal for the State and India as a whole. Rajib Debbarma also said, president of ATAMA Prasenjit Singha congratulated her and wished her success in future championships.
Happy family: Meet between Mother, daughter-in-laws held
In a unique move, the South District Health department held a meet between the mothers-in-law and daughters-in-law with an aim to make a family happier as well as the participation of mothers-in-law in helping the daughters-in-law to follow the family planning guidelines. The meet also aimed at educating newlywed couples about the necessity of family planning. Altogether 50 married couples and mother-in-law joined at the conference.
Chief Medical Officer of the South DistrictDr Jagadish Nama interacted with the participants. He advised the newlywed not to give birth to a baby during the first two years after marriage and maintain a gap of two years in between births of two children.
Besides a training was provided to newly married couples explaining the benefit of using methods of birth control.
Besides, Dr Nama also advised the daughter–in-laws to look after the mother-in-law like their own mothers. He also advised the mother-in-laws to take care of their daughter-in-laws like their own daughters. He also appealed to the mother-in-law to help their daughters-in-law to adopt Family Planning. The conference created enthusiasm among the participants.
