Tripura Government will recruit 40 Assistant Professors for general Degree Colleges and 22 Assistant Professors for Kokbarok subjects in Colleges.
“The State Cabinet met on Tuesday and gave nod to recruitment in 40 Assistant Professors post in general Degree Colleges in Tripura”, Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath said while briefing media in Agartala on Cabinet decisions on Tuesday.
Besides, Nath also said the Cabinet approved recruitment of 22 Assistant Professors for Kokbarok subjects in Colleges.
“Recruitment for both the categories will be done through Tripura Public Service Commission (TPSC)”, the Minister said.
He also referred to recent recruitment in technical Colleges and said, 57 lecturers recently recruited for technical colleges through the TPSC would receive offer letters very soon.
“The recruitment of 57 lecturers would help meet the shortage of teachers in the technical institutions”, he opined.
Moreover, a proposal for creation of 395 posts of assistant professors in government degree colleges has been sent to the Finance for clearance.
The Education minister also spoke on the major initiatives taken by the state government over the past four years to ensure quality education.
On another note, the Minister said all hostels run by the school and higher education departments will reopen from Wednesday. Seperate notifications have already been issued by the two departments, he added.
