After Police inaction, Opposition leader Manik Sarkar has accused Police of harassing a CPM worker as part of a deep rooted conspiracy.
Sarkar on Tuesday visited the CPM Party worker Sanjoy Deb at Agartala GBP Hospital who was brought from Sidhai Police station after his health situation worsened at police station allegedly owing to Police harassment.
Sarkar was accompanied by the veteran CPM leader Pabitra Kar and other party leaders during his GBP Hospital visit.
The Opposition leader alleged police were harassing Sanjoy Deb, a CPM supporter. He further alleged that police registered a false case against him.
“It is a very serious political conspiracy,” adding to this Sarkar said, “It is very shocking that without any ground police lifted him from his rented house at Jogendranagar in presence of his wife and later he was first brought to East Agartala PS and then to Sidhai Police station.”
He continued and alleged, “Some police are involved with such conspiracies against our party workers. I came to know that police had taken him at some abandoned place at the police station complex.”
“What was the motive behind this? Why Sanjoy Deb was taken to the police station without any allegations and report against him? There is a big political conspiracy on this,” he commented.
On the other hand Krishak leader and veteran CPM leader Pabitra Kar alleged Sanjoy Deb was a close aid of Ratan Lal Nath before he joined the CPM party during 2015 – for this reason a political conspiracy was hatched against him.
The CPM leader further alleged, “There is a plan to kill Sanjoy Deb as he was a close aid of Ratan Lal Nath when he was in Congress. Deb is aware of many things of Nath, so the conspiracy was hatched to eliminate him.”
