The Ranglong Youth Association (RYA), successfully organized a RYA Marathon Race 2022 on Saturday at Noagang in North Tripura covering a distance from Noagang to Bagbasa (NH – 08), North Tripura.
In a press statement, General Secretary of the Ranglong Youth Association, Ralngamring Ranglong said, the event was sponsored by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, TTAADC, Khumulwng and Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura, Agartala.
The Marathon Race event was organized by the RYA as part of an awareness campaign against the menace of drug abuse by the youth. The theme of the Marathon Race event was “Say No to Drug and Yes to Health.”
All together 96 (ninety six) participants participated in the Marathon Race event. People from different sections of the society and across communities participated in the Marathon Race event.
The association extended sincere thanks to the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs, TTAADC, Khumulwng and Directorate of Social Welfare and Social Education, Government of Tripura, Agartala. for their kind financial support to organise the event.
The Ranglong Youth Association paid special thanks to the Office of the Sub-Divisional Police Officer, Dharmanagar Sub-Division, North Tripura for making necessary security arrangement to organize the event in a befitting manner and smoothly.
Above all, the Association also thanked all the RYA officials and volunteers and other stakeholders for their voluntary services that they rendered in organizing and making the event sucessful.
The RYA is an apex Youth Association of the Ranglong community established in the year 1994. Since its inception, the RYA has been endeavouring to contribute invaluable services to the society and community. With this in the core, the RYA is exploring every possible avenue to address the social issues and problems.
