Tripura Pradesh BJP has formed election campaign and management committees for the 2023 Assembly polls in the State, as per the direction of party’s central leadership. Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha is the chairman of the 11-member election campaign committee.
Apart from Dr Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Union Minister of State (MoS) Pratima Bhowmik, MP Rebati Tripura, Chief Whip Kalyani Roy, Minister Ratanlal Nath, Minister Bhagwan Das, , Minister Pranajit Singha Roy and Minister Ram Prasad Paul are the other members of the election campaign committee.
Besides, an eight-member election management committee has been formed. State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee has been made chairman and Minister Ratan Lal Nath is the convener of the committee. The co-convenors of the committee are Minister Rampada Jamatia, four party’s state general secretaries- Tinku Roy, Papia Dutta, Kishore Burman and Amit Rakshit and MLA Sudhangshu Das.
Separate committees have been formed for the arrangements of the Central and State leaders’ campaign programmes. Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik will head the central leaders’ political programme arrangement committee to make arrangements for the central leaders while State BJP general secretary Tinku Roy will lead the committee for the State leaders.
Dr. Ashok Sinha has been made the convener of the Manifesto committee.
Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and nominated MDC Bidyut Debbarma will look after the Party joining programmes. The issue of new voters enrollment will taken care by State Yuva Morcha president Nabadal Banik, Deputy Mayor of AMC Manika Das Datta and general secretary of State Yuva Morcha Bipin Debbarma.
The Chief Minister exuded confidence on the committee members – he said, active participation of all the committee members will play a valuable role in re-installing the BJP government in Tripura in the 2023 Assembly Polls.
