Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress leaders are hopeful that people of the State will usher a Parivartan and will vote the party into power. As mentioned by the leaders of the party, participation and enthusiasm of youths in TMC programme indicate the impending Parivartan.
Newly appointed president of Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress Pijush Kanti Biswas along with party’s RS MP Sushmita Dev, State in-charge Rajib Bandopadhyay are conducting rallies and public meeting hoping to gain grounds in Tripura prior to the 2023 Assembly Polls.
After an abysmal show in this year’s by-polls, the State president of the Party, Subal Bhowmik, resigned and afterwards former Chief of Tripura Pradesh Congress, Pijush Kanti Biswas was inducted into the party and was made the president. With a herculean task in hand, Biswas along with Dev and Bandopadhyay are trying to garner supports for the party.
As part of the new campaign initiative under Biswas, TMC held a rally and public meeting at Ambassa on Wednesday.
Addressing the crowd, Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Participation of vibrant youths is an indication that the youths of the State would bring TMC to power by throwing out BJP. I firmly believe, we would be able to form the Government”.
Echoing Biswas, TMC MP Sushmita Dev said the unemployment in Tripura is increasing and the present government did not fulfil any of the promises made prior to the 2018 polls. Ironically, people did not spontaneously attend Modi’s Asthabal meeting. All these imply that people are, no longer, preferring BJP and BJP is weakening. So a change of guard in the State is certain in favour of the Trinamool Congress”.
Biswas and Dev also criticized the BJP over the prevailing law and order condition. The TMC leaders did not spare the CPIM, either. TMC leaders highlighted the several welfare schemes of the Mamata-led West Bengal government and urged people to vote for the Trinamool so that those welfare measures can also be implemented in Tripura.
