Two Jana Vishwas Rath Yatras of BJP in Tripura is becoming a major outreach intiative before the upcoming Assembly polls after the rallies were flagged off by Union Home Minister Amit Shah at Dharmanagar and Sabroom on January 5 last.
The two Jana Vishwas Rath Yatras will reach Agartala on January 12 next and curtains will be drawn on the rally in presence of All India BJP president JP Nadda.
As per the schedule, both the Raths are traversing through different Assembly constituencies.
The Jana Vishwas Rath that started from Sabroom, reached Amarpur under Gomati district on Sunday (Jan 8).
Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha addressed the rally at Kakraban-Shalgarh and Amarpur today. Among others, ICA Minister Sushanta Chowdhury and Janajati Welfare Minister Rampada Jamatia were present at Kakraban-Shalgarh and Amarpur.
Apart from highlighting the developmental activities and achievements of the Government, Dr Saha also launched a scathing attack on the left front saying that the party is trying to capture power by applying the tactics of 1978 and 1993.
They now talk about democracy but during their tenure, there was only political terror, murder and violence, the Chief Minister said.
Dr Saha also urged the people to stay aware of CPM-Congress understanding. He said, they don’t go anywhere; they do politics only through mobile phones.
Another Rath that started from Dharmanagar, reached Fatikroy under Unakoti district on Sunday (January 8) and a Vijay Sankalp Rally was held there.
Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik, MP Rebati Tripura, BJP General Secretary (Org) Phanindra Nath Sharma, MLA Sudhangshu Das and other leaders addressed the gathering.
Launching a verbal attack on CPIM, Pratima Bhowmik said Government was run from Party Offices during Left Front regime, but BJP is working to deliver government at the doorstep of masses.
She highlighted the various developments in Fatikroy assembly constituency in the last 4.8 years of BJP regime and said, “Development in connectivity, roads, repair of river banks, health care services in hospitals, opening new Gramin Bank branches and more benefits have been ushered on the people of Fatikroy by the BJP-led government”.
The MoS said, “People of Tripura fought to achieve freedom in 2018 assembly polls and now in the ensuing 2023 assembly polls, people of Tripura will fight to hold on to the development”.
Speaking at the Vijay Sankalp rally, MP Rebati Tripura said the rallies are attracting huge response.
