Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra of Tripuar Pradesh BJP in North and South Zone is continuing campaign blitz as top leaders of the State as well as other States are launching scathing attacks on the opposition and highlighting the achievements of BJP-led Government during the last almost five years.
On the fifth day of the Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra, Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma and others hit the campaign trails at Kulai, Manikbhander and Kamalpur under Dhalai district and Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma along with State Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha conducted rallies and road show at Killa and Udaipur under Gomati District on Monday (Jan 9).
In Dhalai district, Biplab Kumar Deb, in his usual style said the BJP government has fulfilled more than 100 per cent of the commitments made in the Vision Document. BJP knows to prepare a Vision document as well as knows how to implement the commitments.
He referred to fulfillment of several commitments like the increment of the social allowances to Rs 2000, implementation of the 7th CPC, drinking water supply and the HIRA model.
“Guided by the vision of the Sab ka Saath, Sab ka Vikash, Sab ka Prayas of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the State government achieved more than what was promised in the Vision Document”, he asserted.
Coming down heavily on ‘understanding’ between Congress and CPIM, Deb said the people of the State wanted to oust the Left Front government even before 2018. However, people could not oust the Left due to secret understanding between some of the Congress leaders with CPIM leaders.
The Rajya Sabha MP slammed the CPIM saying that the people of the state could not raise their voices for the last 25 years of the LF regime. People were not allowed to speak about their demands and plights. Everything was controlled by the CPIM party office. To get a transfer or avail of government schemes, concerned persons had to run behind CPIM leaders. The people of the State changed this system in the 2018 Assembly polls, he said.
In Gomati district, Assam Chief Minister Hemanta Biswa Sharma was all praise for Tripura Government as it hiked Social allowances to Rs 2000 and announced a 12 per cent DA for the State government employees.
“Prior to the 2018 Assembly, it was promised that social allowance would be hiked to Rs 2000 if BJP was voted to power. I am happy that the State government fulfilled the promise”, Biswa Sharma said while addressing a rally held at Killa today after the Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra reached there.
Biswa Sharma was accompanied by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, State BJP president Rajib Bhattacharjee and others.
Hailing the achievements of the BJP-led government, the Assam Chief Minister said providing 12 per cent DA to the State government was a phenomenal announcement – even Assam Government could not do this.
People were seen in Dhalai and Gomati District waiting by the road side to have a look at the Rath Yatras of the BJP. Local supporters and leaders appear to have done good ground work in spreading the message of Rath Yatra.
At every place wherever public rally was held good number of supporters participated and hailed the leaders. Yuva Morcha and Mahila Morcha activists gathered in numbers.
In Gomati district, Killa is an indigenous people dominated constituency and presence of Indigenous people is expected to bolster the confidence of the BJP Janajati Morcha leaders.
Overall, BJP’s Rath Yatra in two zones of the State is proving to be effective outreach programme before the crucial 2023 Assembly elections for which date of the Polls is yet to be announced.
