All India BJP president JP Nadda will hold a public meeting at Umakanta Academy ground in Tripura on the National Youth Day – January 12 next.
Arriving in Agartala on the same day, Nadda will take part in the closing ceremony of the ongoing Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra at the Umakanta Academy, said Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha in presence of party’s State president Rajib Bhattacharjee on Tuesday (Jan 10).
After arriving in Agartala at around 11am on January 12, Nadda will visit the Bhumi-heen Colony (the Landless people’s colony) at Lankamura border area in Agartala. He will interact with the local people there and talk about implementation of the government welfare and developmental schemes. Later, he will have lunch at the residence of BJP’s booth level activist.
The Chief Minister said, the party’s National president will next join the valedictory programme of the Jana Vishwas Rath Yatra at Umakanta academy and address a public rally there.
Both the Raths which were flagged off from North and South Tripura by Union Home Minister Amit Shah on January 5 last, will converge at Umakanta Academy on that day after covering around 1500 kilometers and all the constituencies.
Later, Nadda will attend the meeting of the party’s core committee before leaving the State.
Commenting on the ongoing twin Jana Vishwas Rath Yatras, Dr Manik Saha claimed both the Rath Yatras attracted huge response in favour of the ruling BJP. He termed the Rath Yatra successful, so far.
Since the Rath Yatras were flagged off, party leaders from other states started arriving in the State and along with the State leaders launched a mega pre-poll campaign blitz in the State.
After BJP MP Locket Chatterjee, Assam’s Chief Minister Himant Biswa Sharma, Union Law Minister Kiren Rijiju, West Bengal Opposition leader Shubhendu Adhikari from other State have already took part in the Rath yatra and campaigning. Bollywood actor of yesteryears Mithun Chakraborty arrived in Agartala today evening.
Besides, Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Union MoS Pratima Bhowmik, MP Rebati Tripura and other Ministers, MLA and leaders took part in the twin Rath Yatra.
