Agartala bade farewell to a beloved spiritual leader of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya, Rajyogini Tilottoma Devi, known affectionately as Mataji, as she peacefully passed away at the age of 91 on Thursday. The revered spiritual guide breathed her last in the intensive care unit (ICU) of GB Hospital in Agartala.
Rajyogini Tilottoma Devi’s life was dedicated to selfless service, offering solace and support to countless individuals grappling with sorrow and desolation.
As a prominent figure in the Prajapita Brahmakumari community, she was revered as the esteemed Jaganmata of the Agartala center, leaving behind an indelible mark on the hearts of many.
Survived by her three children, Rajyogini Tilottoma Devi’s legacy continues through her daughter, Brahmakumari Rajyogini Kavita Behenji, who currently holds the esteemed position of Chief Coordinator, overseeing the India and Bangladesh branches of Prajapita Brahmakumari Ishwariya Vishwavidyalaya. Her elder son, Dr. Jyoti Bhaiji, has gained renown as a prominent doctor, while her younger son, Dr. Deepak Upadhyaya, serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication at Tripura University.
The final journey of Rajyogini Tilottoma Devi was attended by numerous individuals, including Prof. Ganga Prasad Prasain, the Vice Chancellor of Tripura University, along with other members of the Brahmakumari community. Together, they came forward to pay their last respects to this extraordinary soul whose life had touched so many. Her legacy of compassion and service will be forever cherished by all whose lives she touched.
