The establishment of a Cardio Care Unit at Dhalai District Hospital in Tripura after GBP Hospital is a notable initiative towards improving healthcare services in the state. Initiatives have also been taken to set up cardio care units in other districts of the state.
Tripura Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha inaugurated the Cardio Care Unit of Dhalai District Hospital in Kulai on August 2.
District Magistrate of Dhalai district Dr. Siddharth Shiv Jaiswal, In-charge Sabhadhipati of Dhalai Zilla Parishad Anadi Sarkar, Vice Chairperson of Ambassa Municipal Council Gopal Sutradhar, Vice Chairman of Ambassa Panchayat Samiti Arun Deb, Director of Health and Family Welfare Department Dr. Supriya Mallik were present on the occasion. Chairman of Ambassa BAC Parimal Debbarma presided over the programme.
Commenting on the Cardio Care Unit of Dhalai District Hospital, Chief Secretary JK Sinha tweeted, “Congratulations to the Health Department for starting the first state of art Cardiac Care Unit (CCU) in Dhalai District. Very soon the facility will be linked with the Cardiac Unit of GB Hospital through telemedicine in a Hub and Spoke model. Kudos!!!”
In his inaugural speech, the Chief Minister also said that the government has taken various initiatives to improve the quality of health services in the state. The government is working towards making Ek Tripura, Sushtho Tripura.
He said that providing better health services to the people of all parts of the state is one of the priority areas of the government. Those who are not covered under Ayushman Bharat Scheme will be brought under Mukhyamantri Jan Arogya Yojana. For this, separate funds have been allocated in the budget.
Addressing the health workers, the Chief Minister said that patients should be treated well. Health services should be brought closer to the people. The health services in Dhalai district have improved in terms of infrastructure.
On the occasion, Chief Minister handed over the certificate of Best Ayushman Hospital to Dhalai District Hospital Authority.
On the occasion, the Chief Minister also virtually inaugurated several other projects in the district.
Besides, Dr. Saha attended the prize distribution ceremony of Challenger’s Cup Badminton Competition at Ambassa Indoor Hall last evening. It was organized by Tripura Badminton Association and Ambassa Badminton Association. The Chief Minister handed over the prizes to the winners of U-14 and U-17 categories.
