The two-year-long celebrations commemorating 75 years of India’s independence, coined as Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, are set to conclude with a spectacular grand finale scheduled for the last week of October.

As a symbolic gesture of unity and patriotism, 59 youths from Tripura will carry ‘Amrit Kalas’ containing soil samples collected from every corner of the State during this momentous celebration.

Papia Datta, the State General Secretary of the BJP, addressed the media on Tuesday and praised the colorful and spirited festivities organized under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. She highlighted that over two lakh programs and events were meticulously planned as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav program, which aimed to instil a deep sense of belonging and patriotism among citizens while fostering national unity and promoting the country’s progress.

In detailing the final stages of the celebration, Datta explained that on September 14, a total of 60 BJP Mandal presidents in Tripura will ceremoniously hand over the sacred soil collected during the Meri Mati Mera Desh programs to their respective district-level party presidents. The symbolic transfer of the soil samples is seen as a significant and emotional moment, symbolizing the collective spirit of the nation.

Furthermore, on September 15, the ten district-level party presidents will pass on the collected soil to the BJP state president, Rajib Bhattacharjee, signifying the unity and strength of the party.

The grand finale will culminate in a remarkable event to be held at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, in the last week of October. A total of 59 youths, representing the various regions and districts of Tripura, will travel to Delhi with the Amrit Kalash filled with the soil collected during the Meri Mati Mera Desh initiative as part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration.

As India prepares to bring the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to a close, the event has succeeded in not only evoking patriotism but also in uniting the entire nation to work collectively towards the growth and progress of the country, Papia Datta said.

She further said, the grand celebration has been a testament to India’s rich history and its promising future as it enters a new era with renewed zeal and unity.
