A day after the publication of the final merit list for Group-C posts by the Joint Recruitment Board, Tripura (JRBT), the Agriculture Minister, Ratanlal Nath, addressed concerns surrounding the domicile certificate requirement during interviews.
In a statement to the media, Minister Nath clarified that domicile certificates were not mandatory at the time of the interview.
He further noted that the number of candidates from outside Tripura who successfully cleared the JRBT-conducted examination for Group-C positions was minimal.
The recent mandate making domicile certificates mandatory for all direct recruitments was highlighted during the statement.
Responding to inquiries, Minister Nath also disclosed that some candidates affiliated with the 10,323 terminated teacher’s groups had received job recommendations based on their merit.
The release of the JRBT results has prompted mixed reactions among aspirants. Some candidates who failed to secure positions in the merit list questioned the inclusion of outside candidates in the recommendations.
Another concern raised by a section of aspirants relates to the perceived lack of transparency in the merit list. These individuals expressed confusion regarding the calculation of total marks and raised questions about the unavailability of suitable candidates for 430 posts.
“The examination and interview were conducted for 2,410 Group-C posts, and over 7,000 aspirants out of approximately 100,000 enrolled candidates qualified the written examination based on merit”.
“However, there is ambiguity regarding the marks allocated in the viva-voce, and according to the merit list, there appeared to be no suitable or eligible candidate for 430 posts, raising suspicions,” remarked one aspirant.
The situation surrounding the JRBT Group-C merit list remains under scrutiny as candidates seek clarity and understanding of the selection process.
