In a shocking turn of events, veteran actor Akhil Mishra, renowned for his roles in popular films and television serials, including the iconic ‘3 Idiots,’ met with a tragic accident in his kitchen, resulting in his untimely demise at the age of 67.
A source close to IANS revealed, “It was an accident. He was found injured on the floor in the kitchen and succumbed to his injuries in the hospital. The body has now been sent for an autopsy, and we eagerly await the official reports.”
Notably, Akhil Mishra’s wife, Suzanne, was away in Hyderabad for a shooting assignment when this unfortunate accident transpired.
Born in 1965, Akhil Mishra’s illustrious career included notable roles in acclaimed films such as ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,’ ‘Gandhi, My Father,’ and his unforgettable cameo appearance as Librarian Dubey in the Aamir Khan-starrer ‘3 Idiots.’
Additionally, he left an indelible mark in the television realm with his portrayal of Umed Singh Bundela in the popular show ‘Uttaran,’ alongside Tina Datta and Rashami Desai.
Akhil Mishra’s personal life also bore witness to significant chapters. He was first married to Manju Mishra in 1983, who shared the screen with him in his debut feature film ‘Dhat Tere…Ki’ in 1983, and later appeared in the serial ‘Grihalakshmi Ka Jinn.’
Following Manju’s tragic demise in 1997, he found love again and tied the knot with German actress Suzanne Bernert in February 2009.
Suzanne Bernert, renowned for her work in ‘Ramdhanu – The Rainbow’ and ‘Honeymoon Travels Pvt. Ltd,’ also left her mark in the Indian television industry with her role in ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.’
Furthermore, she portrayed Sonia Gandhi in the television series ‘7 RCR’ and graced the big screen as Sonia Gandhi in the Hindi film ‘The Accidental Prime Minister.’ (Edited)
