Union Minister of State for Chemicals & Fertilizers, and New and Renewable Energy, Bhagwanth Khuba, chaired a comprehensive review meeting in Gomati District of Tripura on Monday. He held discussions with the concerned officials to assess the progress of various flagship programs both at the state and central levels.
The meeting was conducted in the conference hall of Gomati Zilla parishad in Gomati district.
During this meeting, Minister Khuba provided essential directives to officials, emphasizing the need for timely completion of work related to the implementation of central government flagship programs.
District Magistrate Taritkanti Chakma delivered an informative presentation on the overall development of the district through a PowerPoint presentation.
Union Minister Khuba’s focus during the review was to gauge the advancements in health, nutrition, education, sanitation, financial inclusion, and infrastructure as part of the broader initiative for developing aspirational districts. He underscored the importance of making government projects accessible to the masses.
Furthermore, Khuba paid a visit to a farm owned by a beneficiary of the PM KUSUM scheme in the district. He lauded the impact of PM KUSUM, stating, “PM KUSUM is transforming the lives of flower farmers in Gomati District. I was truly impressed by the progress he has made since joining the scheme.”
The PM KUSUM initiative had provided this beneficiary with the necessary financial and technical support to install a solar irrigation system, reducing costs and increasing crop yields.
Additionally, Minister Khuba explored the Health and Wellness Center in Jamjuri Gram Panchayat, the residence of PM Awas Yojna beneficiary Savita Das in the Matabari block, and the generic medicine counter of the Gomati District Hospital.
These visits aimed to assess the on-ground impact of various government programs in improving the lives of citizens in the district.
