Notably, the first day of play, on Friday, was abandoned without playing a single ball owing to bad light.
Desperately looking to secure full point from the match against Tripura and stay at the top of the table, Mumbai made a strong statement of intent in their match against Tripura on second day today and scored a mammoth 524 runs in just 86 overs.

Mumbai won the toss and elected to bat first, finishing their innings on 524 for 5. Playing against Tripura bowlers, Nutan hit a double ton while Awais Khan scored a century today.
Mumbai’s opening pair of Awais Khan and Ayush started the innings with a bang, scoring 108 runs in just 78 balls. Ayush scored 45 runs off 64 balls with the help of seven boundaries. Awais and Nutan then joined forces, scoring 281 runs in 299 balls.
Awais scored 127 runs off 182 balls with the help of 12 fours and two sixes, while Nutan scored a blistering 213 runs off 164 balls with the help of 32 fours and two sixes.
In the lower order, Ayush Sachin Bharat scored 51 runs off 42 balls with the help of four fours and three sixes, while captain Monan Bhat scored 45 runs off 51 balls with the help of six fours.
In reply, the hosts Tripura ended the second day on 13 for no loss. Dwipjyoti Deb scored 11 runs off 11 balls with the help of two fours, while Debanshu Dutta remained unbeaten on 2 off 9 balls.
Tripura will need to score 312 runs on the third day of the match to avoid the follow-on. The first-day’s play was abandoned due to bad weather condition.
