Tripura Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu advised the concerned officials to inquire tourism potentiality of the State’s Agar processing Centres to develop these as tourist spots.
The Governor, during his North District visit on Friday, went to visit an agar processing center in Fulbari village panchayat.
According to a Government press release, the governor advised the concerned officials to inquire whether agar processing centers can be converted into tourist centers. During the visit, the governor was accompanied by the governor’s officials.
Earlier, the Governor visited the BOP of of the BSF at Yakubnagar in the North Tripura District today.
During the visit, the Governor was given a guard of honor by the Border Security Force (BSF). He also interacted with BSF jawans and officers and praised their work in border security. Besides, an exhibition of firearms used by the BSF was also set up.
The Governor also visited the Jagannathpur Super Market and interacted with the shopkeepers there. He was welcomed by Pradyut Dey Sarkar, chairperson of the Dharmanagar Municipal Council.
In Kadmatala block, the Governor visited the Brajendranagar Primary Health Center and interacted with the patients there. He also visited the innovative water supply plant being constructed under the Jal Jeevan Mission in Dhubipara under the same block.
At the Satsang High School in Ranibari, the Governor launched the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao program. He also handed over land pattas and certificates to tea garden workers.
Later, the Governor interacted with women from various Self-Help Groups (SHGs) at the Kadmatala block conference hall. He also visited an exhibition of products produced by Self-Help Groups.
The governor was accompanied by his officials during the visit.
