Governor Indrasena Reddy Nallu has extended his warm greetings on Saturday to the people of State on the on the eve of the Tripura Statehood Day, 2024

In his congratulatory message, the Governor said, “On the basis of the North Eastern Region (Reorganisation) Act, 1971, Tripura attained the status of a full-fledged state on January 21, 1972. I extend my salutations to all the leaders who have contributed to achieving this status. I also thank the people of the state, especially the unsung heroes, students, youth, general public, police, armed forces, paramilitary forces, officials, and officials of the central and state governments for taking the state forward.”

Meantime, the State is ready to celebrate the
Tripura Statehood Day on Sunday in style. 

The state-level function will be held at Rabindra Bhawan, Agartala.

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha will be the chief guest at the function. The guest of honors will be Agriculture Minister, Ratanlal Nath, Industry and Commerce Minister, Santana Chakma, Tourism Minister, Sushanta Chowdhury, Youth Affairs and Sports Minister, Tinku Roy, and Tribal Welfare Minister, Bikash Debbarma. 

Special guests will include Chief Secretary, Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Director General of Police, Amitabha Ranjan, and Secretary, Apurba Roy.

At the function, various dignitaries from the state will be awarded the Tripura Bibhushan Samman, Tripura Bhushan Samman, Sachin Debbarma Smriti Samman, Maharani Kanchanprabha Devi Smriti Samman, and the State Award for special contribution to science and environmental protection. In addition, the Tripura Statehood Day Award will be given in 10 categories at the function.

The function will be attended by a large number of dignitaries, including ministers, MLAs, MPs, government officials, and citizens.
